Lament

Lament, there is such beauty in language. For there to exist a word that so perfectly describes that which has been invoked by your memory.

Lament, for having said goodbye, for cutting our ties. A searing end to our bond, cauterizing the wound left upon my heart.

Lament, for all that I should have said, all I shouldn’t have, and allI wish to tell you now.

Lament, to never again witness your presence, to embrace your fragile soul, to behold the symphony of your laughter.

Lament, for your absence, but not for our meeting. Never for that.
